Be part of the sustainability transition of our customers and ABN AMRO itself by joining the young and fast growing Sustainability Risk, Reporting and Regulations team (RRR) within the Corporate Banking of ABN AMRO in Amsterdam. You have a University masters degree and strong demonstrated affinity with project management. You have execution power and enjoy transforming complex subject matters into logical and manageable deliverables. Finally, you want to develop yourself further within the field of Sustainability in a constantly changing environment.

Your job

Regulatory and strategic driven change, and specifically Sustainable Finance Regulations, need to be managed structurally and effectively to stay compliant and help our clients in the transition. In other words, being ‘in control’ of bank-wide regulatory themes on sustainability requires foreseeing future ones. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic professional with knowledge of sustainable reporting legislation, especially the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). You oversee regulatory developments in the field of social impact and human rights and translate their impact into strategic and tactical advice and implementation, including the yearly Integrated Annual Report activities. You will work closely together with, and provide support to, other reporting specialists in our team.

The ESRS materiality assessment serves as input for the activities that need to be executed within CB. The activities will be part of the implementation plan(s) within the bank wide Sustainable Finance Regulation program. You will have an important role in formulating and sharpen the needed deliverables.

Your team

You will be part of the young and fast growing Risk, Reporting and Regulations team (RRR) of 12 team members within the client focused Corporate Banking's (CB) Sustainability Expertise Team (SET). RRR has a central position within the organisation between internal/external stakeholders and the business. The team has priorities on: 1. a continuous, timely reporting on correct sustainability data and KPI's, 2. sustainability advisory on risks and regulations towards management, corporate bankers and customers, 3. integrating sustainability in risk management and 4. co-facilitating the growth of the sustainable finance portfolio in the business. Additionally training of the business and the implementation of various ESG regulations are important activities of the team.

Finally, the team is highly motivated to help our customers make the sustainable shift as soon as possible towards being compliant with Sustainable Regulatory and be in control of Sustainable Risks.

Your profile

We are looking for someone with strong demonstrable affinity with project management:

  • Education: University Masters Degree or comparable level.
  • Experience: a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Sustainability, Reporting, Stakeholder management.
  • Knowledge - Good understanding of financial institutions, sustainability regulations and risk management and knowledge on banking products, systems, work processes, data management.
  • Skills - Proactive, flexible, positive attitude and be able to transform complex subject matter into logical and manageable process steps. Execution power and keen on improvements. Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
