Job description
Reporting to the lead Research & Analytics Infrastructure, the role is a pivotal element in the development of a global Private Natural Capital platform and support of the investment processes for the global investment portfolio.
This Analytics platform enables efficient data processing and reporting, as well as facilitates bottom up research on investments, providing new insights and ensuring that we are able to integrate all relevant (big) data sources into our decision-making. The role is a unique opportunity to contribute to a fast growing platform that is instrumental in the investment decision process.
Being part of the investment team, the quantitative portfolio manager also plays an important role creating and maintaining solutions that inform top-down portfolio management, underwriting and subsequent management of individual investments, as well as reporting. The portfolio manager will be working closely both with the Research & Analytics team, as well as PNC investment team to support the value-creation and growth of the Private Natural Capital portfolio.
This is an ideal role for candidates with a quantitative background that has affinity with sustainable forestry and agriculture markets. It offers the opportunity to help shape the business as we grow.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Contributing to the formulation of the longer term digitalization strategy taking into account specifics of the Private Natural Capital portfolio, coordination of execution and interactions with internal stakeholders
- Working with the global Private Natural Capital and Research & Analytics team to develop the global Private Natural Capital analytics platform
- Build-out and maintenance of portfolio specific tooling that enables collection and processing of financial and non-financial data (with the focus on sustainability and impact investing) to support the entire chain of the investment process
- Consolidation and automation of data analytics and reporting
- Further professionalization of data pipelines, the knowledge graph and analytical tools that are built on top of these.
- Perform thematic research with a quantitative angle on relevant topics to assess impact on underwriting of the investment portfolio

Job Requirements:
- A Master’s degree or higher with high distinction in quantitative methods, mathematics, or other statistical/data oriented emphasis from a top-tier school
- Experience and affinity with financial analysis or private investments is a plus
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a quant developer or quantitative analyst
- Value creation mindset over the long term - broad minded, innovative, forward thinker
- Experience with large-language models, knowledge graphs or BI tools such as MS PowerBI is a plus
- Coding skills in Python
- Strong team player and communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Adaptable and able to apply themselves to a broad range of demands
- Excellent English communication skills
