Are you a visionary leader with a passion for sustainability and a proven track record in stakeholder management? We are seeking an experienced professional to take on the role of Global Head of Sustainability within the Wholesale & Rural (W&R) division. In this strategic position, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing the sustainability strategy, working closely with diverse internal and external stakeholders worldwide.

Most important responsibilities

Develop and lead the long-term vision and strategy for sustainability within W&R, in alignment with Group Sustainability guidelines and taking into account regional context and realities.
Build a leadership coalition and community focused on sustainability within W&R, enhancing our strategic positioning on critical sustainability issues.
Collaborate with regional and product heads to develop strategies that meet local and global sustainability standards and stakeholder expectations.
Serve as a strategic partner to the Director of W&R, Head of Clients & Portfolio Management and members of the W&R Management Team, contributing to decision-making on sensitive sustainability topics.
Manage stakeholder relationships, including communication and representation, in cooperation with Group Sustainability, Corporate Communication & Affairs, and the W&R Marketing & Communications team.
Develop and implement sustainability policies and related tools for the Wholesale and Rural business.
Monitor sustainability risk management and key performance indicators (KPI’s), ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Lead the global sustainability community within Wholesale and Rural, participating in relevant working groups and networks.

In addition, it's important that you recognise everything in the checklist below:

University degree, preferably in Agribusiness, Agriculture, Finance, or Economics.
15+ years’ work experience, including in CSR/Sustainability and Banking.
Extensive senior management experience with exceptional organizational skills.
Strong risk management awareness and application.
Deep knowledge of sustainability to be a credible counterpart to clients and colleagues.
Change management experience and strong transformation experience.
Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships across various business units, both locally and internationally.
Demonstrating inspiring leadership to further develop the W&R team by taking people along and enhancing their potential.
Open and candid individual with excellent diplomatic and negotiating skills and ability to convey complex topics with focus, clarity and nuance.
